Is muesli healthy?

Yes, as long as you pay attention to the right ingredients. Oatmeal is the perfect base for your muesli, as it is made up of many soluble fibres called beta-glucans. They lower blood and cholesterol levels and ensure that you feel full for a long time. Berries provide your body with many important vitamins and minerals. Nuts, seeds and kernels are the ideal supplement for a healthy muesli, also contain many vitamins and are an excellent source of vegetable protein.

What is beta-glucan and why is it good for me?

Beta-glucan is a fibre with a special effect. A daily dose of 3g of beta-glucan has been shown to reduce blood cholesterol levels and has many health benefits. One of the main sources of beta-glucan is oats. One portion of muesli (50g) provides about 0.6g of beta-glucan and therefore provides you with 20% of your daily beta-glucan requirement.

Why muesli from Verival?

Quality and careful handling of all ingredients, from cultivation to processing, is our top priority. That's why we only use high-quality organic ingredients in our Verival Heritage Grains Mueslis. By growing original cereal varieties, we also contribute to the preservation of biodiversity and counteract the lack of varieties.

Why is protein important for people who do sport?

Protein is a basic component of any balanced diet. Our bodies cannot produce protein themselves, so we need to obtain it from our food. Protein helps build muscle and is even supposed to assist with weight loss. An adequate protein intake is especially important for people who do a lot of physical exercise, because our muscles are largely made of protein.

What other products are in the Verival Sport Range?

Our vegan Verival Sport range currently consists of seven products: Among them are our Sport Porridge Cacao-Banana, the Breakfast Shake Strawberry-Blackberry with high protein content, the Green Protein Corn Cakes, a perfect protein snack for in between, and our cereals: the Grain Free Sport Granola with Nuts, Seeds & Coconut, the Grain Free Sport Muesli Almond Fig, the Sport Muesli Strawberry-Sour Cherry and the Lower Carb Sport Granola Raspberry-Almond-Coconut.

What are the various sources of protein?

Of course, animal products are not the only source of protein. Our Verival Sport products are made exclusively from plant-based proteins. Nuts and pulses are among the best vegan protein sources, and we've packed plenty of them into our Sport Mueslis. In our Grain-Free Muesli, for example, you'll find sunflower seeds, almonds, cashews, pumpkin seeds, hazelnuts, linseeds and sesame seeds.

How is it possible that your muesli without added sugar still contains 7,3 g of sugar according to the nutrition table?

Our muesli does not contain any added sugar and therefore contains only the natural fruit sugar from strawberries, sour cherries and dates. This low sugar content is also shown in the nutritional value table. However, what is not to be found in this muesli is refined sugar or other artificial or natural sweeteners.

Why does the muesli only contain 0.5% strawberries?

The 0.5 % share of freeze-dried strawberries may not seem much at first sight. However, the particularly gentle preservation process removes approx. 90% of the water content from the fruit - but the taste is fully preserved. Thus, for 1 kg of freeze-dried strawberries you need 10 kg of fresh strawberries.

Your protein muesli with the best vegan ingredients

Powerfood oats

The regional superfood is full of beta-glucans, which lower blood sugar and cholesterol levels. In addition, oats contain many vitamins and minerals such as magnesium, iron, potassium and B vitamins.

Slimming strawberry

Due to the high water content, strawberries have hardly any calories, but plenty of vitamins and nutrients. The many fibers help regulate the feeling of hunger.

Fruity sour cherry

Sour cherries are rich in minerals, trace elements, vitamins and polyphenols. In addition, sour cherries have a high content of folic acid and vitamin C.

100% wholesome means:

With one portion of muesli you eat a balanced and healthy meal. All important basic building blocks are supplied to your organism. And this is best done right at the start of the day!

Full power from oats

Oats and whole-grain flakes form the basis of our delicious muesli creations. They are very rich in fibre and therefore particularly well tolerated. The beta-glucan contained in them keeps you full for a long time and lowers the blood sugar and cholesterol levels. Whole-grains are particularly well tolerated and contain even more protein and vitamins than other grains.

And there is another great characteristic of the original corn: It provides a very good source of serotonin, also known as the "feel-good hormone", which is said to have a mood-lifting effect.

Grains optimally supply your body with the dietary fiber beta-glucan

In the morning, it is particularly important to eat a high-fibre meal. This is because fibre is good for the digestion, makes you feel full for a long time and thus prevents ravenous appetite attacks. Beta glucan, an indigestible fibre contained in oats, has many positive qualities: the blood sugar level is regulated, the feeling of fullness sets in earlier, the cholesterol level in the blood is lowered and the immune system is activated.

There are many vegan proteins in our breakfast products

The basis of our mueslis are grains, nuts and seeds. These are important vegetable protein sources, which play an important role especially in a vegan diet. Protein is not only important for building muscles, but also for many other processes in the body. It plays an important role in building enzymes and hormones, is needed to build antibodies and maintain our immune system and transports oxygen and fat.

Your protein breakfast

Proteins are an important part of the daily diet. According to the DGE, the daily protein requirement is 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight, and you need up to 1.5 grams per kilogram to build muscle mass.

Oats form the basis of our protein mueslis and protein porridges. Oats not only contain vitamins and minerals, but our oat flakes consist of almost 14 percent protein. Other vegan protein sources in our Sport Range are nuts and pulses

With all essential amino acids

Essential amino acids are the basic building blocks of all proteins. They cannot be produced by the body itself and must therefore be taken in with food. Essential amino acids include Histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan and valine.

Leucine, isoleucine and valine play a particularly important role in muscle building. In the development of our Sport Range we have therefore paid attention to a balanced composition of essential amino acids.

Slow carbs have a positive effect on blood sugar levels

Slow carbs are complex, long-chain carbohydrates that are processed more slowly by the body and prevent strong fluctuations in blood sugar. They thus ensure longer-lasting satiety and protect against cravings.

Complex carbohydrates, e.g. from whole grain oats, are enormously important for endurance sports and muscle building. In addition to the high satiety effect, they have a high nutrient density. They are rich in vitamins, minerals, trace elements as well as secondary plant substances.
