Inspiration for your Easter BrunchJanuary 2, 2016
Here are a few of our favourite discoveries for this year’s Easter Brunch. For more ideas take a look at our Pinterest board.
1. Less colour is more
When it comes to dying eggs go for laid-back or light pastel shades that are all the rage this year. You like it as raw and natural as possible? Look for eggs laid by rare and old poultry breeds that come with a touch of colour naturally, such as light blue (Araucana), pink or even dark brown (Marans). You could also always use onion skins, beets or grape juice to dye your eggs with. Let Martha Stewart show you how!
2. Same same but different
Whether it’s a girly pink, yellow as bright as spring flowers, green that is greener than grass or even carrot-style orange: pick one vibrant colour to use as a common theme in your décor. We promise you’ll be rewarded with a table that is more than pleasing to the eye! And you know what’s almost too cute to be true? Matching egg cosies shaped like chicks or bunnies. Like, how amazing are those?
3. Signs of spring in your bowl
Use edible flowers and dried petals to invite spring right into your muesli bowl. Both our Verival Crunchy Mix with Fruits as well as our Cranberry Cherry Muesli will brighten your bowl with dried sunflower and cornflower petals.
4. DIY Décor on the breakfast table
The hunt for Easter Eggs is a kick for both young and old so why not draw inspiration for decoration right from a child’s phantasy? Who wouldn’t love a chick-cup or bunny-cake-holder?
5. If you can find it, go eat it
6. Eggshells are the new flowerpots
Everyone has broken an egg before while trying to decorate it. This time, however, you get to reuse it as a flowerpot and groom some early bloomers right there on your breakfast table.
7. Shhh! The napkin can hear us
Learn how to fold your very own bunny army and equip everyone of your guests with a fun set of napkin-bunny-ears. Find out how to do it here: Lushome.com.
8. Buntings for the win
DIY buntings will go a long way when you’re looking for that last decoration hack to make your Easter table just perfect. Instant holiday mood guaranteed!
